In a move to strengthen India's position in cutting-edge technology, the government has rolled out a ₹20,000 crore fund dedicated to supporting deep-tech startups. This initiative, introduced under a 'fund of funds' model, aims to provide long-term capital and help innovative companies grow in areas such as artificial intelligence, robotics, quantum computing, and other advanced technologies.
Alongside this, the government also announced the creation of a ₹500 crore Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence. This center will focus on AI-based education and skill development, aiming to train students and professionals in emerging tech fields.
These initiatives are part of a broader national effort to drive self-reliance in advanced technology and foster innovation across sectors. The government believes this move will help India build a strong tech ecosystem and become a global leader in future technologies.
